In July 2017 we opened the Wedding Studio in Greenwood and had the pleasure of meeting future bride-to-be, Shelby! She arrived with the support of her sweet family in these adorable shirts. Shelby was the first bride to purchase a gown at our new bridal store which will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so excited to share her wedding story with you and we wish Shelby & Michael a lifetime of happiness!
Hooked on a Feeling
Shelby and Michael met in their early 20’s through their older brothers. 3 years after meeting, they finally had their first date to see Guardians of the Galaxy. Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Suede was the theme song of the movie, which became the song for their first dance at their wedding.
Wedding Dress Vision
Once it came time for shopping for a wedding dress, Shelby knew exactly what she wanted!
"My shopping experience for my wedding dress was just like the movies! I am one of the few women in the world who knew the dress just by a picture..." Shelby reached out to us to try on Stella York style 6309 which is a stunning A-Line dress with tulle tiers and a stunning beaded back design.
"The customer service months before my appointment was phenomenal. The day of my appointment my entourage and I were greeted with huge smiles and champagne and escorted to a private area that was just for us. I tried on a few dresses before the big finale...The Stella York dress I came in for was exactly what I wanted. The beadwork, back detail, and the skirt with matching cathedral veil are just a few of the reasons why I love the dress... but how I felt in it, words can’t describe." -Shelby
Michael and Shelby were married at the Mill Top in Noblesville. They wanted to make sure their big day was unique, which included a fire-breather performance! Shelby's favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast so they incorporated little details of the movie into their wedding, Shelby walked down the aisle to Tale As Old As Time!
Favorite Wedding Day Memory
Shelby's favorite wedding day memory was marrying her best friend surrounded by their amazing family and friends. Her second favorite memory...the food! Make sure to check out Shelby's vendor recommendations below!
Advice for Future Brides
"The advice I would give future brides would be to relax and HAVE FUN! If at any point the process is stressful or you need a break from it – be sure to take a break. There is no right or wrong way to do any of it and that’s the best part – make the process your own! Also, look into getting a personalized stamp with your first name and your groom’s first name, this saved us so much time!" - Shelby
